Key Stage 3
We are committed to providing a broad, balanced, and ambitious education for all our students. Our Key Stage 3 curriculum promotes deep learning, progression, and inclusivity, giving every student a strong foundation for future success.
Students study a wide range of subjects to build knowledge, creativity, and confidence before choosing their GCSE options. Lessons are carefully sequenced so learning builds on what students already know, with support and challenge provided for all.
This approach helps our students develop the knowledge, skills, and curiosity to thrive at Key Stage 3 and beyond.
Our students study: English, Maths, Science, Design Technology including Food and Nutrition, Computer Science, Spanish, History, Geography, Religious Education, Physical Education, Art, Music, Dance, Drama and Personal Social and Health Education (PSHE). Alongside these academic lessons, students have 20 minutes of dedicated time every morning that focuses on Personal Development.
A big part of our culture is reading whether that be reading for pleasure or reading as a tool for education. Our students read together in Personal Development, additionally in Year 7 and 8 they have a dedicated library lesson where they complete an Accelerated Reader programme.
