The NSB Trust RSE Policy Consultation for September 2026
New Statutory Guidance for Relationships Education, Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) and Health Education from the Department for Education comes into force from September 2026.
The NSB Trust has reviewed the curriculum and policy for Relationships and Sex Education to bring it into line with this new guidance (September 2026) to ensure the effective delivery of Relationships, Sex and Health Education (RSHE). The policy reflects the importance of RSHE in promoting and protecting the wellbeing of all children.
The new 2026 curriculum will be delivered by trained staff in an age-appropriate manner. As defined by the statutory guidance, this is inclusive of physical and emotional maturity and literacy, religious and cultural backgrounds and special educational needs and/or disabilities.
This Trust-wide policy will come into effect from 1st September 2026 in line with new guidance. Ahead of this, we encourage all parents/carers to read 'The NSB Trust RSE Policy', which can be accessed via the link below as part of our consultation. The consultation is open for four weeks, from 3rd June 2026 –1st July 2026.
